Another prestigious design and build project comprising the construction of a 100,000ft2 headquarters and production facility, complete with 1st floor offices, warehousing research and development areas together with production space.


The construction of this bespoke building has been specifically designed for the end user, consisting of a steel framed structure, with a combination of highly insulated vertical composite cladding combined with feature rain screen panelling to the main elevations which are then complimented by the use of ribbon windows, curtain walling screens and a projecting glazed atrium over the reception area. All of this combined with specialist designed and installed mechanical and electrical installations, external works, concrete yards, tarmac car parks, block paving footways, fencing and gates. All this in conjunction with a S.U.D.S soak-away / water attenuation system, disposing of water through the existing drainage infrastructure systems that were specifically design to alleviate the flooding potential within this industrial estate. A comprehensive ducting installations for BT and cable suppliers, together with future CCTV, signage and external lighting will be installed along with extensive new services to the site, HV and LV power, a new substation, gas, water and BT.

 

The extensive use of recycled materials, that comply with Green Guide "A" Rated Materials, FSC timber, materials with 0-rated GWP and ODP, water and waste monitoring, high insulation and low "U" values, photo voltaic panels, combined with low air permeability will allow us to construct a very efficient and environmentally friendly building for our client, reinforcing the green credentials for this project.

 

Also included are bypass interceptors, Secure by Design requirements, as well as environmental improvements including a comprehensive diverse native landscape planting scheme, bird boxes, bat boxes, log piles and Lacewing habitat.

 

The contract will be run using the principals of the Considerate Constructors Scheme and will demonstrate that the development aspires to meet a BREEAM 'Very Good' standard.

 

The contract duration is 36 weeks and has a value of £5.8 million.
